  • Horjul, Ljubljana Slovenia (map)

On Sunday, 6 April 2025, the opening of the exhibition Dance – Europe’s Living Heritage in Motion / Ples – Živa dediščina Evrope v gibanju took place at the premises of the Municipality of Horjul, Slovenia.

The event featured traditional dance tunes from the local area, performed by musicians and dancers from the Folk Dance Ensemble Klas of the Cultural Association Horjul. The lively performance concluded with spontaneous dancing by attendees, making the opening a vibrant example of a “practice exhibition” where heritage is both presented and actively lived.

The exhibition, prepared by the Institute of Ethnomusicology ZRC SAZU, will remain on display until 27 June 2025 during the municipality’s official office hours.
